Welcome to 2025...
After a stellar 2024...What's next for the financial markets?
Wishing all of our readers a very happy new year, and may 2025 be filled with much health, wealth and joy for you and your family.
In this edition of Bullfinder AI Insights, we take a look at various markets, reviewing their performance over the last few years and highlighting which ones we’ll be watching closely heading into 2025.
Major Worldwide Indices:
What better way to start off than with a review of the last few years action across major worldwide indices. This will help to paint a clear picture of the overall cross-sector and cross-economy performance over the last 5-years, and where future opportunities may lie.
Let’s get started…
S&P500 Index
America’s most dominant and well renowned index, the S&P500 Index tracks the movements of the top 500 publicly listed companies in the US.
With the exception of period between 2022 to 2023, the S&P has been moving consistently to the upside (and aggressively so) since the 2020 sell off.
The latest reading from our Bullfinder AI Tech is ‘Bullish’ Momentum as of early 2023. This momentum reading remains unchanged for now.

Price has however now experienced upside of over 100% since the 2020 lows…A significant milestone.
As this current move continues to push, it is important to keep in mind that occurrences of ‘relief’ (aka sell-offs) become more and more likely after extended periods of continued upside.
We’ll be watching the S&P 500 closely over the coming year+ for any downside risk potential, and for any changes to official momentum readings by our Tech.
The following indices paint a very similar picture to the S&P500:
FTSE100
NIKKEI225
DAX40
EURO50
ASX200
NIFTY50
However, not all Indices performed quite the same - Let’s take a look…
Hang Seng Index
Hong Kong’s primary indicator of overall performance - The Hang Seng tracks performance of the largest publicly listed companies on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
This chart paints a very different picture than the S&P500, steadily decreasing in price since the 2021 peak.

Bullfinder AI’s Momentum reading turned bearish Mid-2021 and remains unchanged for now...However, we’ll be watching closely should this change during 2025.
China A50 Index
One of China’s primary indicators of overall performance - The A50 Index tracks performance of the top 50 publicly listed companies selected from the Shanghai Stock Exchange and Shenzhen Stock Exchange.
Again, painting a much different picture to the S&P 500, trending to the downside since the 2021 peak.

Bullfinder AI’s latest Momentum reading turned bearish Mid-2022 and remains unchanged for now...We will be watching closely should this change during 2025.
RTS Index
Russia’s primary indicator of overall performance - The RTS tracks performance of the Top 50 stocks traded on the Moscow Stock Exchange.

Bullfinder AI’s latest Momentum reading turned bearish in 2022 and remains unchanged for now. We’ll be watching closely should this change during 2025.
Reflecting on the last 5 yrs & what to expect in 2025…
Can we expect more of the same in 2025? More widespread bull runs? More continued upside without many breaks?
2021-2024 was a period of recovery and significant price upside across most asset classes. This warrants caution heading into 2025 as many instruments bring high price tags into the new year.
Generally speaking, the first half of this decade started from a low (price) base thanks to the corona virus scare. The second half of this decade, which we are now embarking on, is starting from a high (price) base - The exact opposite.
Now, this doesn’t necessarily ensure there is going to be widespread sell-offs across all financial markets, un-doing all of the work over the last 5 years…But instead, may justify a degree of caution and conservatism heading into the years that follow.
As always, our number one goal here at Bullfinder AI is to protect our capital.
Our secondary goal is to grow our capital significantly.
